Avian Bird flu meeting with Lord Benyon

Last week, I held a virtual meeting with the Rt Hon Lord Benyon, Minister for Rural Affairs, Access to Nature and Biosecurity to discuss the outbreak of Avian Influenza (Bird Flu) in East Lindsey and to raise the concerns of my constituents.

 

Over 50% of pharmacies in the UK now use the "Ask for Ani" scheme!

A year ago I launched the codeword scheme "Ask For ANI". Now over 50% of all pharmacies across the UK, including Boots, Superdrug and Lincolnshire Co-op Pharmacy have joined the scheme.

In its first year, the scheme has provided emergency support to at least 100 victims.

My office is being regularly updated by Lincolnshire County Council about the outbreak of Avian Flu in Lincolnshire.

Covid Update

This afternoon, I attended a detailed briefing with local NHS Trust Leaders to discuss the current Covid-19 situation. Like a number of other Trusts, United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust has declared a ‘critical incident’, largely due to staffing pressures.
