It was a fantastic bank holiday, in which the whole community joined together to celebrate the Coronation of His Majesty King Charles III.

Your local councillors at East Lindsey District Council make crucial decisions about the priorities and services in our local area. From making sure our waste is collected, funding is properly allocated to community groups or projects, and deciding how much council tax we pay.

With less than a month to go until His Majesty The King’s Coronation, over £3 million of National Lottery funding has been awarded to communities across the UK so they can come together in celebration.

East Lindsey has been allocated £1,791,546 from the Rural England Prosperity Fund over the next two years.

The Colonnade and Pleasure Gardens have provided enjoyment for families living and visiting our coastline for generations. That’s why I was delighted to visit and see the plans that will breathe new life into the sites, securing their future for many years to come.

Today, I cut the sod on the first of the five Towns Deal projects for our coastline! £23.9 MILLION is being invested by the government in Mablethorpe and Sutton on Sea to boost our local economy and bring opportunities to residents. 

To mark Holocaust Memorial Day, I had the privilege to meet Vera Schaufeld MBE who escaped the Nazis on the Kindertransport, and Smajo Bešo OBE who fled the Boznia-Herzegovina genocide as a child.
