Tackling Crime

Victoria Atkins, Member of Parliament for Louth and Horncastle, recently visited Springfield Domestic Abuse Centre in her ministerial capacity as Home Office Undersecretary of State.

I opened the debate on Rural Crime & Public Services speaking from my own experience as MP for one of the largest rural constituencies in England.

Thank you to Deputy PCC Stuart Tweedale, Junior PCSO’s from Spilsby Primary School and Lincolnshire Police who were out and about in Horncastle raising awareness of scams.

Today, Victoria Atkins MP became Vice Chair of the new All Party Parliamentary Group on Financial Crime and Scams.

In the first six months of this year alone, 120 addresses in Louth & Horncastle were victims of fraudulent activity. Over half of these were cases of identity fraud.
