Ahead of the return of all students next week, it was inspiring to visit the John Spendluffe Technology College to meet Deputy Headteacher, Martin Whitaker, and hear about the Covid secure measures the school has in place. Through using the technological expertise of their very own Paul Bishal and Chirs Knight and with the help of the wonderful Alford Hub volunteers, led by Lynnette Pryke, the school has been effectively testing students and teachers since January.

From Monday there will be a daily team of 20, who have all been NHS trained for the role, working with Clinical Lead, Adele Pratt. It was a privilege to meet some of the team today including, Tracy Wilkinson, Anne Higham, Shirley Mitchell, Mick Cliffe, and coach driver Chris Dalton who joins the team after driving students to school in the morning. A massive thank you to all those involved in helping to keep the community safe.
