Victoria Atkins MP has signed a petition to protect Northern Ireland Veterans from Prosecutions. In a statement, Victoria said:

"Our Armed Forces represent the very best of Britain — serving with honour, courage, and dedication, often in the most difficult of circumstances.

The brave men and women who served in Northern Ireland did so under immense pressure, in a deeply complex and dangerous environment. Therefore, attempting to bring about ‘legacy’ investigations undermines the bravery of their sacrifices and the hard-fought peace that was achieved through dialogue and understanding from both sides of the conflict.

I was proud to have signed this petition and would urge you all to do so"
