"Today is an important victory for people living in Theddlethorpe, Gayton Le Marsh, Little Carlton and the surrounding areas.

With the news that the County Council are formally leaving the Community Partnership, this will mean an end to the worry and stress that has sat over our residents in this area for the last few years. Hopefully this will bring some relief to those residents and my thanks are to all of those local people, campaign groups and councillors who have campaigned so vociferously against these proposals over recent years.

I hope now that Nuclear Waste Services will respect the decision of local people and leave our area for good."
