£4.6Billion Grant to support businesses

Following the Prime Minister's announcement yesterday regarding national restrictions, the Government is providing further financial support to businesses.

The new one-off grants outlined below come in addition to existing business support, such as the monthly closed grants of up to £3,000 per month that businesses continue to be eligible for:

  • One-off grants of up to £9,000 for retail, hospitality and leisure business premises forced to close. The amount of the one-off additional grant depends on the rateable value of the business premises.
  • £594 million of discretionary funding for Local Authorities and the Devolved Administrations to support local businesses. This builds on £1.1 billion of discretionary funding that local authorities in England have already received to support our local economies.
