Victoria Commemmorates Back British Farming Day

It was fantastic to be at the NFU’s Back British Farming reception in parliament this morning alongside one of our local farmers and Lincolnshire NFU County Chairman Henry Moreton.Our farmers in Lincolnshire make a phenomenal contribution towards defending our nation’s food security.

It was brilliant to meet the NFU today and to talk about Conservative plans for food security, the future of farming and our continuing investment in flood defences.

Opposing the proposed Hatton Industrial Solar Farm

Here in Lincolnshire, we are known as the breadbasket of the country. It is essential that we should be able to use our prime agricultural land for food production. That’s why I’m opposed to the proposed Hatton Solar Farm near Wragby.

Lincolnshire Wolds Protected - Biscathorpe Planning Application Rejected

I welcome the news that the application to drill for oil at Biscathorpe was refused today by the planning committee of Lincolnshire County Council. As I outlined in my letter about the application to the Council, the proposal is completely at odds with the character and natural beauty of the area.
