I've been campaigning for better health and social care in our area, from the future of our hospital, to individual health conditions that affect residents of the constituency of Louth & Horncastle.
Following an engaging meeting with TED In East Lindsey's, Jane Berni about the Ageing Without Children programme, I met Cllr Patricia Bradwell, Deputy Leader for Lincolnshire County Council, to discuss the delivery of local domestic abuse and children’s services.
I am pleased to add my support to the new TED Ageing Without Children Group (AWOC) and to help raise awareness of those who are ageing without children, particularly in our rural district of East Lindsey. I understand that this will have been particularly difficult during the pandemic.
Ahead of the return of all students next week, it was inspiring to visit the John Spendluffe Technology College to meet Deputy Headteacher, Martin Whitaker, and hear about the Covid secure measures the school has in place.
It was great to visit the local vaccination site at the Marisco Medical Practice on a sunny morning in Mablethorpe last week. Thanks to the hard work of all involved, over 6,500 people have received an injection at the site so far.
