Welcome to the website of Victoria Atkins

I believe that British politics needs more people with real-life experience to volunteer for public service.

As a leading criminal prosecutor of serious, organised crime, I have been closely involved in dealing with some of the most difficult issues facing our country.   I see the day-to-day consequences of crime, addiction, social exclusion and anti-social behaviour.   I understand the effects of crime on victims and local communities, and the costs to the taxpayer.

A life-long Conservative, I have volunteered in every national and local election since 1983.   I have campaigned across the country, from the South East to the South West, the Midlands to the North.   And, of course, helping Boris Johnson's campaigns in London.

In 2012, I stood as the Conservative candidate in Gloucestershire's Police and Crime Commissioner election. Details of my campaign can be found on the PCC Election and News pages.

As Deputy Chairman of the Justice and Home Affairs Group for Conservative Policy Forum, I am privileged to play my part in encouraging national debates amongst Party members, to influence the Conservative manifesto for 2015.

Now, I intend to do everything possible to help David Cameron's government continue to make our country a better place for the decent majority to live and work.   And it's back to the day job: prosecuting criminals.

Best wishes,

Victoria
